A COMPANY WITH A CONSCIENCE
Super Wash, Inc. is dedicated to giving back to the communities that have given us so much. As a concerned corporate citizen, Super Wash feels that there’s no better way to keep kids safe, than to help fight the war on drugs.
Funds have been donated to the Whiteside (IL) County and Bureau (IL) County Sheriff’s Department for the purchase of three drug dogs; and to the Urbana, OH, Police Department’s D.A.R.E. Program for the purchase of an interactive, remote control police car called “P.C. Robot.”
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
K-9 Units
Super Wash first became involved in this venture in December of 1999 when Bob and Mary Black, of Super Wash, and its sister company, Town’s Edge Car Wash, Inc.,donated funds to the Whiteside (IL) County Sheriff’s Department for a new K-9 unit.
Police dog, Pico, and his handler, Deputy Michael Boucher, underwent extensive training and are now an established drug fighting team. In addition to the drug prevention work they do on the streets of Whiteside County, they also travel to local schools as part of the D.A.R.E. program to educate kids on the dangers of drug use.
Since December of 1999, Bob and Mary Black, through Super Wash, Inc. and its sister company Town’s Edge Car Wash, Inc. have donated funds to the Bureau (IL) county Sheriff’s Department and the Rock Falls (IL) city police department for K-9 units. In addition to sponsoring K-9 units, from time to time Bob and Mary host K-9 and handler training sessions with K-9 trainer Brian Gregory of Northern Michigan K-9, Inc.
PC ROBOT
In March 2000, Super Wash purchased P.C. Robot, an interactive remote control car for the Urbana, OH, Police Department. This 3-foot tall car with flashing red and blue lights, working speakers, and microphone, is being used to promote the Police Department’s D.A.R.E. and safety programs.
VETERAN’S MEMORIALS
Bob and Mary Black and Super Wash, Inc. are honored and humbled to be afforded the opportunity to sponsor a number of Veteran’s Memorials. They are involved with the current development of memorials in Morrison, IL, Prophetstown, IL, and Princeton, IL. We at Super Wash are so grateful for all U.S. veterans have done, and current service people do, for us and this great nation. “Freedom Rings Because of You.”
